ABC is fortunate to offer funded accredited skill sets specifically developed to support Australian businesses to re‐open safely following the COVID‐19 health and economic crisis, reducing the risk of COVID‐19 and improving consumer confidence that it is safe to re‐engage with businesses.
These programs are funded by and support the Joint initiatives of the Australian Federal Government and individual State and Territory Governments. (see fees section below)

The Australian Government and states/territories have agreed to jointly invest in a National
Infection Control Training Fund to deliver fee‐free accredited infection control training to
customer‐facing workers. This training will support Australian businesses to re‐open safely
following the COVID‐19 health and economic crisis, reducing the risk of COVID‐19 and improving
consumer confidence that it is safe to re‐engage with businesses.
As a result, following skill sets have been developed to support individuals who require infection control skills and knowledge to decrease the risk and transmission of infection whilst carrying out their daily duties.
The skill sets have been developed through contextualisation of the Unit HLTINFCOV001- Comply with infection prevention and control policies and procedures to industries identified as critical to reopenning of the Australian economy

- HLTSS00067 Infection control Skill Set (Transport and Logistics)
What you will Learn
- Hand hygiene practices
- How to properly wash your hands
- Key modes of disease transmission
- Breaking the chain of infection
- Non-clinical moments forehand hygiene hand care, including guidelines on maintaining intact skin, fingernails and jewellery/watches
- PPE selction and use including selection, use and removal techniques to prevent contamination
- Gloves
- Gowns and waterproof aprons
- Protective masks
- Protective glasses and face shields
- Respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette
- Distancing including:
- Social distancing
- People movement and control.
- Barriers and control measures
- Surface and environmental cleaning for disinfection
- Waste disposal of possible contaminated materials
- Handling equipment including money
- Identification of hazards and risks requiring additional controls
- Control the risk of contamination
- COVID-19 specific controls and official sources of information
ABC utilises the latest technology for the delivery of this program including:
- Online delivery
- Practical asessments via our augmented reality app.
- Supervisor sign offs
- Individual assessments via our augmented reality platform using your smart phone.
Duration
The nominal hours for this program is 25 hours. However, due to the urgency in which the
Governments (both state and federal), wish to open businesses safely and instill consumer
confidence, these nominal hours have been significantly reduced and will be dependent upon
individual circumstances.
The fees for this unit of competency is $150.00
However you may be eligble for funding under under the National Infection Control Training Fund
The Australian Government and states/territories have agreed to jointly invest in a National
Infection Control Training Fund to deliver fee‐free accredited infection control training to

Elligibility
- Training places will be prioritized for customer‐facing workers in the applicable sectors
- Students and employers must be able demonstrate the benefits that will be achieved through the program
- Students Must be a resident of Queensland

These programs are provided fee-free through joint funding via the ACT Government's Skilled
Capital Program and the National Infection Control Training Fund.
Elligibility
- Training places will be prioritised for customer‐facing workers in the applicable sectors
- A student may be concurrently enrolled in another Skilled Capital Training Product
- Eligible school students do not need an exemption certificate
